Aire Valley Martial Arts Projects CIC exists to remove financial barriers to martial arts participation. We provide funded and subsidised training opportunities for children and families on low incomes across Keighley, Aire Valley, Bradford and the wider West Yorkshire district.
Through structured coaching, clear progression, and positive role models, participants build confidence, discipline, physical literacy and wellbeing. Our approach combines safe, consistent training with practical support (funded places and starter kit assistance) so cost is not the factor that excludes people from sport.
As a CIC with an asset lock, we reinvest surpluses into community benefit, prioritising access, inclusion and measurable outcomes.
Many families in Keighley, Bradford and across West Yorkshire face rising living costs and limited access to affordable activities. When children are excluded from structured sport, they miss out on routine, mentorship, physical literacy, and a safe environment that supports resilience and mental wellbeing.
Free coaching access for children and young people from low-income households in Keighley, Aire Valley and Bradford, removing the primary barrier to participation.
Hardship support for adults and families who want to participate but face financial difficulty.
Uniforms and equipment provided so nobody is excluded on cost before they even begin.
Embedding discipline, respect, goal-setting and personal development into every session.
Working with schools, local services and grassroots organisations across West Yorkshire to reach those who need us most.
